The Inspiration
In the Nigeria of the 1970s, the streets were alive with Volkswagen Beetles in every colour imaginable - taxi yellows, market greens, celebration reds. They weren't just cars. They were how life moved.
The Pattern
We drew from the repeating geometries of traditional African wax print fabric - patterns that have crossed oceans and generations. Bold shapes. Unexpected colour combinations. A rhythm that catches the eye.
The automobile motifs are layered into these traditional forms, creating something that feels both nostalgic and completely new.
