The Basics

Caring for Your Jacket

Washing

Machine wash cold (30°C) on a gentle cycle.

  • Close all zippers and snaps
  • Turn jacket inside out
  • Use mild liquid detergent
  • Wash with similar colours

Drying

Tumble dry low to reactivate DWR coating.

  • Low heat for 20 minutes
  • Or hang dry, then tumble
  • Heat reactivates water repellency
  • Remove promptly when done

Storage

Store properly to maintain shape and coating.

  • Hang on a wide, padded hanger
  • Store in a cool, dry place
  • Avoid direct sunlight
  • Don't compress for long periods

Spot Cleaning

For minor stains, spot clean instead.

  • Dampen with cold water
  • Apply mild soap to stain
  • Gently blot (don't rub)
  • Rinse and air dry

Do

  • Wash in cold water (30°C)
  • Use mild, liquid detergent
  • Close all zippers before washing
  • Tumble dry low to reactivate DWR
  • Hang on a wide hanger
  • Reapply DWR treatment as needed

Don't

  • Use fabric softener (blocks DWR)
  • Use bleach or harsh detergents
  • Dry clean
  • Iron directly on print
  • Wash in hot water
  • Store wet or damp
DWR Reactivation
Water Repellency

Reactivating DWR

DWR (Durable Water Repellent) makes water bead up and roll off. Over time it can wear down - but it's easy to restore.

1

Wash

Clean the jacket first. Dirt blocks DWR.

2

Heat

Tumble dry low for 20 min to reactivate.

3

Test

Sprinkle water. Does it bead up?

4

Refresh

If not, apply spray-on DWR treatment.

When to Refresh

Most jackets need DWR refreshing every 10–15 washes, or when water stops beading. If your jacket starts "wetting out" (water soaking in), it's time for a spray-on treatment like Nikwax TX.Direct or Grangers.

About the Print

Our artwork is sublimation printed - the dye becomes part of the fabric rather than sitting on top. This makes the print extremely durable. Colours stay vibrant wash after wash.
